Give back to the dog community
One of the most important things about being a dog parent, is being consistent and kind. Doing these two things on a regular basis can bring you more joy than you could ever gain back otherwise. I have a rescue, she was a puppy mill mom, and always has a special joy to our lives each and every day!
You can find more great ways to give to dogs, by volunteer work, simple donations to great organizations, and making the art of being a great dog parent a key part of your life. You will gain more than you could ever imagine, and will be happier in your life.
Visit the local humane society, join a dog obedience group, and then take your best friend for a nice walk. It will do you both good!
