Sweet Potatoes for Dogs

If you have a dog, chances are you have had days where she had an upset tummy. I think that this is pretty common, and one thing you can try is you can feed her the king of all vegtables, the sweet potato! It is a real immunity booster, can add valuable minerals and vitamins to her diet, and bring in some great nutrition to her diet. Many dogs have a real issue with not getting enough vitamin C each day, and yes they do need this vitamin each day. It is important for skin and coat, and can be a great valuable addition to their day.

You can even buy raw sweet potatoes, and cut them with a knife or a food processor, and get them into thin planks, and create your own healthy chewies. Just like those green chewy things, that are not healthy or natural, they can be great rawhide replacements. I like sam I am sweet potato chews too, and they can be purchased at any natural pet food stores, come from america, and are great for your dog.

Be careful that you do not feed any fillers or unnatural preserved sweet potato planks, especially if they come from china. The only country I would recommmend for pet food would be the US or Canada. You will have good food options with organic and natural food companies from these areas, and many other places are too unregulated or profit driven. It is common to see food recalls from the FDA from other countries.

Make sure you feed your dog simple and natural food choices, and you will be free from chemicals and toxins which can harm any body from canine to human.
